Our suggestion for quality ski and snowboard hire at fair prices - Zenith ski shop, in the centre of resort.
Where two adults for duo, or three or more adults for 'tribu', buy ski passes together, the price per pass is slightly cheaper than the single adult rate. This applies to Val Thorens and 3 Valleys, but only to passes for 6 days or more.
Prices for adult Val Thorens passes have risen by about 5% on 2016-17 - a much bigger increase than in previous years, and well above inflation. For example, the adult daily rate for a Val Thorens pass has increased from €50 to €52.50 (+5.0%), and the 6 day rate is up from €238 to €250 (+5.0%).
Adult 3 Valley passes have increased in price by about 2%. For example, the daily adult 3 Valleys rate went up from €60 to €61 (+1.7%), and the 6 day rate from €294 to €300 (+2.0%).
The Belleville category has almost disappeared. The price was so close to the 3 Valleys price that it was rarely worth buying a Belleville pass. Now, only 1 day and season Belleville passes are available on request.
New in 2017-18, for €50 extra, the Premium 3 Valleys pass includes 3 goes on the toboggan, and a spa & leisure package.
